Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: business fundamentals, business succes, home business, small business — admin @ 6:03 pm

You cannot fail when you give more than 100 percent. In whatever endeavour you are doing, always give more than one hundred percent. You will find that whenever you do this, your rewards will always be far greater than the extra effort you expended. Some people refer to this success concept as going the extra mile. What it means is that you need to give people more than they expect.

If you are working in your business and want to see it grow, the surest way to achieve it is by giving more. Customers are impressed when they discover a business that is innovative and gives them more than what they expected. Look for better and more efficient ways to do things. For example, make it easy to order from your site. Reduce the number of clicks to get to relevant information about your product or the order form.

Don’t be afraid of giving information for free. This is a crucial step in the online world to building credibility and trust. A free report or a sample (or extract) from your information product will enable your potential customer to determine whether what you are offering is what they are

Unite08 – An Unrealistic Political Opportunist’s Favorite Third Party

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 7:29 am

Again, history is on the path to repeat itself in American Politics. It seems like for 2 different reasons America’s citizens have felt the need for a third party in politics. Either they believe in one or two political issues that they feel are not given a big enough role in either of the two big parties platforms or they don’t believe in anything and are annoyed with how democracy and debate work to solve political issues in society.

The green movement in American politics showed that the first of the reasons for forming a political third party actually are useful way of having an impact on politics. The main reason the American political system has only two parties is the ballot setup and how political elections are won. As we all know, it takes a majority or 51% of the vote to win most elections in politics and 51% of the state’s citizens votes to win all of the state’s electoral college votes.

The majority system in politics pits two candidates against each other and gives no incentives for only winning 15% of the votes. The contrast to the American political system is Great Britain, which has

The Frustration Of Having A Stutter

Are you one of the many people who suffer with the speech impediment known as stuttering or stammering? Does your stutter/stammer cause you to become very frustrated at times? Have you attended speech therapy in the past in the hope that it would help improve your speech? I am a person who has overcome a stutter and I now help other people to achieve fluency. In this article, I write about the frustrations and emotions that people who stutter have to deal with.

When I had a stutter, it created many different forms of emotions within me. I was actually ashamed of having this speech impediment and did not want to discuss the problem with anybody. My family, especially my parents, even to this day are unaware of most of the difficulties that stuttering caused me, during my time at school and in my late teens. Even when I had a really bad day at school, I would not talk about what had happened with my parents. I would instead just go to my bedroom and attempt to forget it.

I also felt quite sorry for myself. I always believed that I was a decent person and did not

Intelliflix The Online Dvd Rental Company To Avoid

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 12:05 pm

I remember when signing up with Intelliflix for $188 a year thinking what a great deal I just gotten, and how much money I was saving compared to the competition. Intelliflix claims to have over sixty thousand movie titles, rent video games, and also rent adult titles. I sincerely doubt that they have anywhere close to sixty thousand movie titles, and they have recently suspended their online game rentals. They still claim to rent other movie titles, but a couple of movies every few months, and it hardly seems like they even do that anymore.

Presidents Day Lets Not Forget to Honor the Big Three

Commerce was never meant to be at odds with congress or even juxtaposed with it. But Presidents Day, it seems, like other special holidays has gone the way of all flesh. Even as a boy I remember questioning how the Birth of a Savior could be overtaken by the notion of a fat little benevolent man who comes bearing gifts. How did the celebration of a risen Savior get replaced with a candy egg bearing bunny? How are the hopes of a new year brought in by ending the old one in a drunken stupor? These questions dont need to be answered as much as pondered. The answers are largely understood, knowing how to back out of our clearly cuckoo behavior is not.

Would George Washington be glad to know that we have found a way to honor his work in the founding of this country by making deals on an invention he could not have imagined in his own time? Perhaps he might be let down by the fact that Lincoln at least got a car named after him. But where is the new Dodge George Washington four wheel drive SUV?

Lincoln was known for many things but not

The old man and the V(W)Jonathan Munk

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: logo design logos maker graphic — admin @ 2:00 am

An 86-year-old graphic designer recently filed a lawsuit against Volkswagon saying he is the designer of the original, nearly 60-year-old VW logo. Nikolai Borg doesnt want financial compensation. He is suing Volkswagon for not recognizing his hand in the design.

I am not after money, Borg said in an article on FreelanceUK.com. I just want to live to see my work acknowledged. I will not settle for anything less than historical acceptance.

Borg claims a senior Nazi commissioned him to design the now world famous logo just before WW II. After being told the project was on hold, he was surprised to see his very own design appear on military vehicles a few years later. He has been trying to get recognition ever since.

Credit-taking in the graphic design world is full of grey territory. A company might hire a designer to come up with a logo, and then hire a different company to update their logo a few years later. The changes in design might be small, and may even go unnoticed by most people. But who has the credit for coming up with the design?

Which designers have the right to list them as the originator

Which Abstract Art? – Making A Strong Personal Statement

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 9:03 pm

You are a connoisseur – when it comes to choosing a work of abstract art.

Just like choosing a good wine … it is all down to personal taste. If you like it then that is good enough – regardless of what others might think.

But how do you go about choosing the right painting to say what YOU want it to say. Different pictures make different assertions.

Here are some major statements:

1. Simply filling a wall space
2. Harmonizing your decor
3. Proclaiming your artistic prowess and astute eye for a good investment
4. Provocation

The first is in many ways the simplest to deal with. However, you do not want spaces filled with just anything so lets take a little time to consider the situation.

Choose a particular area – notice how the room relates to the space. The most common observation is of course that you are gazing at a number of straight lines – both horizontal and vertical. These in turn produce intertwining rectangles of varying sizes. Therefore the obvious choice would be to choose a work that is split up by straight lines, or includes rectangles. Once you are happy about the shapes

Things To Do In Michigan During The Summer

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: Grand Rapids, Kalamazo, Michigan — admin @ 4:58 pm

Michigan’s growing, problematic financial future, including the decline in automotive industry jobs (not to mention the higher cost of fuel), spells financial insecurity for many Michigan families, making it harder to afford long-distance vacations and high-priced recreational activities enjoyed so much in the past. This has led me to wonder, How do we entertain ourselves and our families and fully enjoy summer break for less money? Better yet, how do we support Michigans economy in these tough economic times? By enjoying the grass (and water) in our own backyard and partaking in all that our state has to offer.

I have compiled a list of activities that won’t break the bank, and will provide interesting ways to have some fun close to home this summer.

1. Museums. When was the last time you visited a museum? Michigan has wonderful world-class Museums from art to science to history. Standouts include the Detroit Institute of Art (did you know that it is the fifth-largest fine arts museum in the country?), and the Grand Rapids Art Museum. The Detroit Science Center is geared to kids, and offers a host of family-friendly exhibits and galleries, not to mention the astonishing sensory experience of the

Southwest region of United States is an exhibition of myriad cultures, traditions, activities, events and ambience.
